I was a bit concerned about the packaging based on the previous reviews. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. The box covered the tree completely. There were no missing, damaged or broken pieces. The tree is brand new, even has the new carpet smell.

I was very impressed by the Molly and Friends line. I am thankful that I was able to get such a quality product at a decent price and with free delivery, especially after having been dissapointed by the two major pet stores who were more expensive and had no options for delivery.

After the first night, my 25 pound Ragdoll fell in love with it. It took him a few test jumps first before he was reassured about its sturdiness. It is indeed sturdy and well constructed. And he has just enough room to be comfy. He used to sleep with me at the foot of the bed. He has now foresaken the bed completely for his new tree. That was the icing on the cake for me. As long as my big guy is safe and happy, then I'm happy too. -- Great Quality

Molly and Friends "Layabout" is a sturdy piece of furniture, however I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the carpet. It is a great size and the scoops are large enough to accomodate my ragdoll cat. My cat loves it and that is the most important thing. I would hesitate to call it premium due to the carpet quality. -- Good but not premium

I bought 3 of these in different styles. We have 5 indoor only cats - big cats! They have used the cat furniture for over a year from the time when they were kittens. I do wish the baskets were a big longer and a little wider to allow a big cat more room, but they are always in them. As for the quality of the carpeting - it is wearing well on the baskets but is pretty shredded on the poles. Our cats do not like the sisal rope and prefer carpet for scratching.
We have a big cat gym bought at a major chain petstore in 1997 and the carpeting is still holding up well on it - better than the Molly and Friends BUT the quality of Molly is now better than anything I have seen in both major petfood chain stores and in the stores they are much more expensive and poor quality.
I would not hesitate to buy another Molly and I probably will! :) -- Big Cats Love It!

I purchased this item and a larger version of the same item from Molly and Friends because of the reviews and the product info. Everything indicated it was a superior product than what you could purchase at the chain pet product stores. Both units were shipped FedX. Both were shipped in cardboard boxes unprotected by any packing material. The top hammock on this unit had been dislodged in shipment and we had to re-attach it. Both boxes were seriously damaged and torn in transit, exposing the product. I still think Molly and Friends make a good product but think they should be proud enough of it to pack it sufficiently to protect it from FedX handling, or pick another shipper. -- Somewhat disappointed

I would have to say that the product is just great- sturdy and well-made and very satisfactory......all that it is advertised to be. I knew that other reviews had expressed problems with the poor packaging, but hoped that improvements had been made. While my delivery was not torn open, the two piece box (taped together in the middle) was very flimsy and would not have withstood the slightest rough treatment in delivery. While the product was unmarred, I think serious attention needs to be given to improving the quality of the outer box. Almost everything that I have ordered on Amazon has been very well-wrapped, but this was an unfortunate exception. -- Packaging, However, Is Poor.
