This is a well made, stable scratching post. The only change I would like to see is that they use denser, better quality carpet. It is a long fiber, almost semi-shag carpet but it is not dense enough so the corners look rather bald. -- Good quality construction

My cat really likes sitting in the bed atop this post, and looking out the window. The scratching post is used daily, and the sisal is apparently pretty heavy duty, as my cat hasn't managed to pull any off yet. However, I am slightly concerned about the quality of the post itself. By pulling himself up to the bed, my 8 lb. cat has managed to bend the post so that the bed is canted at a 45 degree angle from the base. He still sits in it, but this would imply that the post is not backed by anything substantial. Overall, a nice item and better than many others I've seen, but definitely not perfect. -- Decent scratching post

I ordered this for Festivus and my 13-lb (and growing!) cat loves it! It is super sturdy and the carpeted parts are all beige, with sisal rope on the scratching post. Another reason my cat likes to be in the perch so much: the height is almost even with my computer table, so he is in it while I'm writing this, happy as a clam beside me.***6 months later and we both still love it. My cat uses it every day, scratching on the post and reclining on the top.
