but after the first string of icicle lights I had a pretty good rhythm and did the front and one side of my 1200 sq ft ranch-style house. The front I used the gutter to hang the lights and the side I tucked under the shingles. The job took me about an hour and a half, with some delay due to a bad string of lights. When extended all of the way the pole wavers a little and is tough to handle and I did end up on a ladder still to do the peak of the side of my house. I did not hang any lights in my trees but I did use the tree extension to straighten out some icicles that got tangled and weren't hanging right, so that was a nice bonus. I picked this item up on clearance after Christmas and would recommend it. I think I will get even more use out of it as I add to my light display a little bit each year. -- took a little practice...

I am a 5 foot tall woman who really does not like ladders. Every year I like to decorate my house with Christmas lights, but dread the roof and tall trees. Last year I purchased the eave kit. I couldn't be happier. It took about 45 minutes to decorate all around my house. The chore used to take hours! The clips held tight through the holiday season. We do not have snow and a lot of wet weather, but we do have very high winds, When I was ready to take them down, it was a snap. They came down quicker than they went up. I do not have to worry about stapling into a wire or falling off of a ladder. This year it took about 30 minutes to decorate my house. The clips do not seem to be brittle even after a year of storage in a very hot garage. With the pole I am able to decorate very high into my trees without using a ladder. This is a must have for decorating outside. (This year the company has added a 16 foot pole!) -- Best Product ever
